AACC Postpones College Fair and Sets Snow Date for Art

March 5, 2013

Anne Arundel Community College is postponing one event and providing a snow date for another event, both scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, because of weather forecasts predicting inclement weather with possible heavy snowfall.

The College Fair, co-sponsored by AACC and Anne Arundel County Public Schools, will move to Wednesday, March 13. It will take place at the same time, 6 to 8 p.m., and in the same place, the David S. Jenkins Memorial Gymnasium on the Arnold campus. Organizers said college representatives who have to travel from out-of-state had requested the postponement. (To learn more about the college fair, take a look at the original news release under "Related Links" to the right.) For the latest information, visit the AACC website,

The big performances that will allow visitors to interact with the art exhibited in “Spin/s: a Fluxus Festival” will move only if inclement weather closes the college. In the event of campus closings due to snow, Wednesday March 6 performances for “Spin/s: a Fluxus Festival” will move to Friday, March 8.

The noon March 6 performances will be moved to March 8 at noon and the 6 p.m. March 6 evening performances will be moved to March 8 at 7:30 p.m. and will follow the Fluxus Music Recital, which was already planned for that night. The exhibit and performances are in the Cade Center for Fine Arts on the Arnold campus. The evening performances include a marching band, the chance to stencil poetry on a piece of artwork, interaction with an automobile, among other participatory events.
