Whether You’re Buying or Selling, Come to the Yard Sale

May 23, 2014

If your spring cleaning has left you with a pile of extra treasures, Anne Arundel Community College can help you earn some cash for those unneeded items. And if you’re looking for a unique item for your own household, AACC can help with that, too.

Whether you are a seller or a shopper, come to AACC’s 10th Annual Community Yard Sale from 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday, June 6th, in Parking Lot F, on the Arnold campus. To reach Parking Lot F, turn onto West Campus Drive, the entrance off Route 2, Gov. Ritchie Highway, at the YMCA at Arnold and follow the signs.

To reserve a table, click on the AACC Yard Sale flier and go to page 2. The information can be emailed to AACC Event Services or mailed or brought to Event Services, Student Union Room 140, Anne Arundel Community College, 101 College Parkway, Arnold, Md. 21012. Reservations also are taken by phone, 410-777-2724 or 410-777-2614. Reserving a table costs $30.

In addition to the yard sale, Secured Shred will have a shredding truck in adjacent Parking Lot E from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sponsored by AACC’s Department of Public Safety as a way to help people prevent identity theft, the shredding truck will allow patrons to dispose of any personal documents free. You can even watch your papers as they are shredded.

The Arundel House of Hope’s Doughy Dog food truck will provide refreshments and benefits the Arundel House of Hope’s services for the homeless. Goodwill will have a truck on site at noon where yard sale vendors can donate any unsold items.

If it rains, the yard sale will be indoors in the Cade Center for Fine Arts (CADE) and the Center for Applied Learning and Technology (CALT). For the latest information, visit the AACC Yard Sale web page.
