Established in 1961, AACC is a fully accredited, nationally recognized, public, two-year institution and the largest single-campus community college in Maryland, serving 53,000 students annually in credit and noncredit courses.
AACC offers credit programs leading to an associate degree, certificate or a letter of recognition and preparation for transfer to a four-year institution or to an immediate career. Our extensive lifelong learning opportunities and noncredit continuing professional education courses are available for those seeking career training or retraining, working to boost basic skills or pursuing personal interests. Continuing education certificates, which are workforce credentials, are also offered in more than three dozen areas.
WHO WE ARE
AACC is governed by a state-appointed Board of Trustees and funded by tuition and fees, state and county funding. In addition to providing information about the college's Board of Trustees and leadership team, the following lists can help reporters verify an individual’s title, credentials and role at AACC.
We have strict guidelines governing the use and appearance of the college logo. For downloadable versions of the AACC logo and directions for its proper use, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
