Orientation Appointment and Session Information

New Student Orientation is scheduled in large and small group sessions. You will receive notice of  a session based upon the date of your first registration for courses and other information, such as your program of study (major), status, or previous college attendance. Students are made aware of orientation dates in the Schedule of Classes, by mail, e-mail and the Web. 

  • Large group sessions are scheduled in:
    January, February, August and September.
  • Small group sessions are held in:
    June and July
  • If you register for AACC classes in the fall or winter:
    you will be invited to attend an orientation session in January or February. 
  • If you register for AACC classes in your high school:
    you will be invited to a small group session in June.
  • If you register for classes in June or early July:
    you will be invited to attend a session in July. 
  • If you register after the first week of August or January:
    you will receive an invitation to attend a  session held in September or February, respectively.  

SUMMER 2011 ORIENTATION SCHEDULE

Mandatory New Student Orientation
All new credit students must attend at least one session.
All sessions are held at the Arnold campus unless otherwise noted.

JUNE 2011
For students registered in their high schools in April and May 2011
(PRD Program)

  • Monday & Tuesday, June 20-21
    Center for Applied Learning & Technology (CALT) Room 100 
    Session times: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-6 p.m.
  • Wednesday and Thursday, June 22-23
    Florestano Lecture Hall (FLRS) 
    Session times: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-6 p.m.

JULY 2011
For all students

  • Monday-Thursday, July 18-21
    Center for Applied Learning & Technology (CALT) Room 100
    Session times: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-6 p.m.

AUGUST 2011

  • Monday, August 15
    For all students who plan to transfer after attending AACC.
    Location: Pascal Center for Performing Arts (PCPA)
    Session times: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-6 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 18
    For all students enrolled in a career or technical program.
    Location: Pascal Center for Performing Arts (PCPA)
    Session times: 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 18
    For adults and military/veteran students
    .
    Location: Pascal Center for Performing Arts (PCPA)
    Session times: 8-9:30 p.m.
  • Friday, August 19
    For students who attended an institution other than AACC.
    Location: Pascal Center for Performing Arts (PCPA)
    Session times: 3-4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 20
    For student taking courses at AMIL and Military Veteran students.
    Location: AACC at Arundel Mills Lecture Hall
    Session times: 10 a.m.-noon and 1:30-3:30 p.m.

SEPTEMBER 2011

  • Saturday, September 10
    For students who missed an earlier session.
    Location: Pascal Center for Performing Arts (AMIL)
    Session times: 10 a.m.-noon and 1:30-3:30 p.m. 

Parent Orientation
All parents of new credit students are invited to
attend a Parent Orientation session.
Reserve a seat today!

AUGUST 2011

  • Monday, Aug. 15 & Thursday, Aug. 18
    Location: Humanities Building Room 112
    Session times: 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m.

If you have completed an application for admission but not yet registered, get VIP treatment and access comprehensive student services at one site! For location and time, call 410-777-2888.

  • Saturday, July 16
    Location: Pascal Center for Performing Arts (PCPA).
    Session times: All services are available from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
    Some services are available until 4 p.m.
    Three student orientation sessions are scheduled throughout the day.
