All AACC students, faculty and staff must use the Password Management tool to create a new password that will be conveniently used for multiple accounts.

In order to use this tool, you will need to verify yourself by providing your User Name, AACC ID#, and birthdate. Once verified, you will need to provide answers to five challenge questions (don’t forget them!). Once you’ve completed your answers, you’ll be able to manage your password at any time, 24/7 without reliance on the AACC Technical Call Center.

Please see more details below.

Before you begin, you'll need to know:

1. YOUR AACC ID#

The AACC ID# is a unique and confidential identifier for each student, faculty and staff member.  The AACC ID# is also known as a Student, Employee or Datatel ID #.

You can find it in the following places:

  • Any registration counter w/ valid photo ID
  • Contact Records and Registration (all contact information for the various locations is located at the end of this document)
  • Bill
  • Bill/schedule
  • AACC ID Card (also known as Student ID or Employee ID card)
  • MyAACC Self Services tab (Students access: "Personal Profile"; Employees access: "Personal Profile")
  • Contact the Technical Call Center at 410-777-4357.

2. YOUR USER NAME

This name is what you use to login to an AACC computer or to MyAACC. You can locate your user name in the following places:

For Students:

  • On your bill
  • On your course schedule
  • MyAACC Self Services tab - access "Personal Profile"

For Employees:

  • MyAACC Self Services tab - access "Personal Profile"

3. YOUR BIRTHDATE

Once you log in, you'll need to:

1. Provide answers to 5 challenge questions.

When providing answers to the challenge questions, we have the following advice:

  • Answers can be anything you like. You don’t even have to answer the actual question as long as the answer is something you will remember.
  • Provide simple / short answers as these are easier to remember and type correctly.
  • Answers should be memorable. Sometimes the first thing that pops into your mind is the best.
  • No one else can see your answers so don’t worry about how you answer them.

Security Restriction: You can’t use the same answer for multiple questions.

2. Create a new password.

Passwords will only be accepted if they meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum length of eight characters.
  • Cannot contain your name (first or last)
  • Cannot contain your user name.
  • Must contain 3 of the 4 character types:
    • Upper case
    • Lower case
    • Numeric
    • Special characters ! @ ^ % $ # - You cannot use an apostrophe or question mark.
  • Cannot be one of the previous 12 passwords you have used.

HINT: If you are unable to log into an AACC computer to access the password management tool, please do the following:

Enter the username and password as shown below, which are both case sensitive:

Username: help\help
Password: help

Wait two to three minutes to access the password management tool then continue with the directions. When finished, log off.

The College has taken this approach to ensure that your educational records are accessible by you, and only you.
