Science Diver - Letter of Recognition

Program Requirements

  • Completion of required courses with a grade of C or better.

Award Requirements

  • Students apply to the records and registration office for the Letter of Recognition after they have completed the requirements.

Required Courses (7credits)

  • PHE-262 - Scuba Lecture, 1cr.
  • PHE-263 - Scuba Technique, 1cr.
  • PHE-264 - Fitness for Scuba Divers, 1cr.
  • PHE-271 - Scientific Scuba Diver, 2 cr.
  • PHE-272* - Emergency First Response for Scuba Divers, 2 cr.

* Students must be certified as a recreational scuba diver by a nationally recognized scuba training association.
