Teaching Philosophy

The classroom is a place of opportunity. I strive to encourage students to make their own intellectual discoveries, and I see my role in the classroom as part instructor, part scholar, and part mentor. I hope to motivate students to establish independent and sustained lines of intellectual inquiry, knowing that as burgeoning intellectuals, they bring their individual experiences and unique talents to the classroom. My ultimate goal is to enhance the skills they already possess in order that they may become better world citizens.
