The Department of Public Safety & Police hosts a variety of crime prevention programs and services, as well as auxiliary services for the college community.
Lot Patrol personnel are an auxiliary part-time unit that are trained and equipped to patrol the parking lots and provide safety escort services. Lot Patrol is staffed during normal operating hours at the Arnold campus, Glen Burnie Town Center and the Arundel Mills campus.
Certified Bicycle Patrol Officers patrol areas that are inaccessible to regular vehicles. The officers are certified through the International Police Mountain Bike Association Bike Patrol Training Program.
Public Safety & Police offers R.A.D. self-defense and awareness classes for women to educate and promote safety concerns. Instructors are certified through RadSystems and are dedicated to providing women with the knowledge and skills to live and work in today's world.
The Public Safety & Police Color Guard Unit provides ceremonial services for college and community events.
