Public Safety Auxiliary Services

The Department of Public Safety hosts a variety of crime prevention programs and services, as well as auxiliary services for the college community.

Lot Patrol personnel are an auxiliary part-time unit that are trained and equipped to patrol the parking lots and provide safety escort services. Lot Patrol is staffed during normal operating hours at the Arnold campus, Glen Burnie Town Center and the Arundel Mills campus.

Public Safety has certified Bicycle Patrol Officers to patrol areas that are inaccessible to regular vehicles. The officers are certified through the International Police Mountain Bike Association Bike Patrol Training Program.

Public Safety offers radKIDS self-defense and safety awareness classes for children to educate and promote safety concerns.  Instructors are certified through RadSystems and are dedicated to providing children with the knowledge and skills to live and play in today's world. 

Public Safety offers R.A.D. self-defense and awareness classes for women to educate and promote safety concerns. Instructors are certified through RadSystems and are dedicated to providing women with the knowledge and skills to live and work in today's world.

The Public Safety Color Guard Unit provides ceremonial services for college and community events.
