September 16, 2004; A.A.Co. Pd. #2004-737939
On September 15, 2004, at approximately 1:09 p.m., the public safety officer working at AACC at Arundel Mills, observed a person breaking into a motor vehicle on the college parking lot. He approached the suspect and asked what he was doing. The suspect told the officer he was waiting for a friend. The officer asked for identification and the suspect pulled a screwdriver from under his shirt pointed it at the officer and fled from the lot toward Muvico in the mall. When the suspect produced the screwdriver he also dropped a car radio, which had been stolen from a vehicle on the college lot. The county police department was called and is investigating the crime.
Suspect information: black male, 5’11’ – 6’ 0”, 150 to 160 lbs. wearing blue jean shorts and a black tee shirt.
November 3, 2003; A.A.Co. Pd. #2003-747464
On November 3, 2003 at approximately 2 p.m., a female student was walking to her vehicle at the Arundel Mills Campus and observed a male subject exposing himself in the parking lot. She got in her vehicle and noticed the male had moved and was now exposing himself to another female. She saw him get into a black Pontiac firebird. She followed the suspect off the parking lot and called the Anne Arundel County Police Department on her cell phone. The suspect was last seen at Rt. 713 and Pro Bass Drive. The student reported the incident to the college’s Department of Public Safety on November 4, 2003 at 4:50 p.m. The county police are investigating the case.
Suspect Information: White or Hispanic male; 20s; 5’10”, large build, wearing white t-shirt and black shorts; driving a black Pontiac firebird, Maryland Registration JNB-226.
September 16, 2003; A.A.Co. Pd. #2003-739399
On September 15, 2003 at approximately 2:05 p.m., a female student was in her vehicle parked on “D” lot. She was looking through her book bag, which was on the passenger side of her vehicle. She turned and observed a while male exposing himself at her driver side window. She locked the doors and blew the horn. The suspect fled toward the bottom of “D” lot. The victim lost sight of the suspect. She drove around the parking lot looking for him. She thought he got into a vehicle. After about ten minutes, she drove to SSVC and called Public Safety. Public Safety responded and took a description of the suspect. A search of the area proved negative. There is no further information at this time. The county police were notified and are investigating the case.
Suspect: White male, early 20’s, short brown hair, thin beard, tanned, and wearing a blue tee shirt and light colored shorts.
September 12, 2003; A.A.Co.Pd #2003-73 8816
On September 11, 2003 at approximately 9 p.m., a student was assaulted and robbed on the parking lot of the Arundel Mills campus. The student was about to enter his car when he was approached from behind and told not to turn around. One the suspects took the victim’s wallet out of his pants. The victim turned around and was struck in the face by the second suspect. The suspects took money from the victim’s wallet and fled toward the mall. The victim could not give any information about the suspects. The county police department is investigating the crime.

July 23, 2003; AA Co. Pd.# 2003-730927
On July 22, 2003, at approximately 2:15 PM, a subject was found in an unoccupied office in the administration building. When confronted, he said he was, “looking for the place where you get a job application.” Staff escorted him to the HR department.
At approximately 4:30 PM, an employee in the Careers building discovered that her wallet was missing from her purse. Her office was unoccupied while she attended a meeting. The office and desk were not locked.
The group of thieves who operate out of Baltimore City will walk into offices looking for purses and wallets, which are not secured. When confronted they will usually say they are looking for a job application. They target colleges and universities because of the volume of people and the number of unsecured offices and desks.
Suspect Info: Black Male; 5’6" tall; 40’s; wearing a blue shirt and dark pants.
January 24, 2003; AA Co. Pd.# 2003-703390
On January 23, 2003, at 4:12 PM, a student was exiting her vehicle on D lot talking on her cell phone, when a male subject pushed her against her car. She dropped the phone and the suspect picked it up and fled on foot toward College Parkway. The victim was unharmed. The County Police Department is investigating the crime.
Suspect Info: White Male; 6’00" tall; slim build; wearing dark clothes.
June 27, 2002; AA Co. Pd.# 2002-726913
On June 26, 2002, at approximately 11:00 AM, in the CADE building, a suspect entered an unlocked office and removed two wallets from purses left in the office. He was observed leaving the office by one of the victims. A review of the CCTV system showed the suspect enter the office and leave fifteen seconds later.
Suspect Info: Black male, 5'10" tall, 195-210 pounds, short hair, wearing a dark baseball cap, white shorts, gray tee shirt, black and white tennis shoes, and wearing glasses.
April 9, 2002; AA Co. Pd.# 2002-714471/2002-741472/2002-741541
On April 8, 2002, a male subject was observed in the various buildings. He told people he was checking ceiling tiles. He is not part of the college's facilities staff and there was no contractor replacing tiles for the college. This same individual was seen in offices where money was taken from employees' purses. There were three larcenies from unlocked and unoccupied offices yesterday afternoon.
Suspect Info: Black male, 40-50 years old, 6' 2" tall, short black hair, wearing light blue shirt and dark blue pants.
UPDATE - January 28, 2002
On Friday January 25, 2002, at approximately 2:00 PM, a black male subject fitting the description of the person, who has been found in office areas, was seen in the Admissions office going through an employee's purse. Campus security was called and the suspect was apprehended.
The suspect was found to have in his possession gift cards from K-Mart which were purchased with a credit card which had been stolen from an office in the CADE building on January 23, 2002. The county police were contacted and the suspect was arrested.
January 23, 2002; AA Co. Pd.# 2002-703253
On January 22, 2002 at 1:45 PM, in the Florestano Building, a suspicious subject was found in a faculty member's unattended office. He was also seen in other offices in the building. He said he was looking for someone. Security was called at 2:05 PM. A search of the buildings on West Campus was conducted with negative results.
At 2:30 PM, a subject was seen leaving the records and registration office area by the Registrar. He waved to the employees as he left the area. The Registrar checked with the staff and no one knew him. Security was called at 2:34 PM. The area was searched with negative results. A credit card was stolen from one of the interior offices. It was used at 3:15 PM at a K- Mart in Pasadena.
Suspect Info: Black male, 5'8" - 5'10", short cropped hair, with a gold crown on one of his front teeth, wearing a light green dress shirt with khaki pants and rimless glasses.
