Anne Arundel Community College complies with the "Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act" by informing the campus community of recent criminal activity and safety concerns in a timely manner. The college maintains a safe environment for students to learn, for faculty to teach and for administration and staff to work, by increasing awareness of crimes committed on campus.

 March 10, 2010:  AACoPD 2010-708659 / AACC DPS  2010-00239

Incident 1:  On March 8, 2010 between 11:30 am and 12 noon a female student had just gotten into her car that was parked on E lot at a metered space near the Florestano building.  She rolled her driver’s side window down and before she drove away she was approached by a white male with a map in his hand.  He asked her for directions and leaned into her car and placed the map on her lap and used his right forearm to brush against her breast several times.   The victim drove away and formally reported this crime to the AACC Department of Public Safety on March 10, 2010.  Suspect’s vehicle is described as a white Pontiac SUV.  A look out was subsequently broadcast for the vehicle and suspect and a search of the campus parking lots for the suspect and vehicle was conduct with negative results.

Incident 1 Suspect Description:  White male in his 40s, 5’8-5’9”, olive/tanned complexion, neatly dressed wearing a dark sports jacket, dark pants, and dark red shirt, with a slight pot belly, clean shaven, and brown hair with a receding hair line.  Suspect’s vehicle is described as a white Pontiac SUV.  

March 10, 2010: AACoPD 2010-708694 / AACC DPS 2010-00245

Incident 2:  On March 8, 2010 at about 12:15 pm a female student was walking to her car in the B lot near the Johnson building when she was approached by a white male with a map in his hand asking for directions.  The female student kept walking and refused to provide directions.  The suspect retreated on foot in a direction that is unknown without having any physical contact with the student.  The female student reported this incident to AACC Department of Public Safety on March 10, 2010.

Incident 2 Suspect Description:  White male in his late 30s early 40s, 5’8-5’9”, olive/tanned complexion, neatly dressed wearing a dark leather jacket, dark jeans, navy blue shirt, with a slight pot belly, brown eyes,  clean shaven, hair on the sides of his head is brown and receding on the top.  No suspect vehicle was observed in this incident.

The description of these suspects and the method of operation match that of a suspect who was touching females (4th Degree Sexual Offense) last spring and fall semester on the Arnold campus and at the Community College of Baltimore County, Catonsville, Maryland.

If approached by this individual immediately call public safety at 410-777-1818.  Stay on the phone and give Public Safety the description of the suspect and his vehicle to include color, license number and route of travel.

October 26, 2009;  AACO# 2009-743226

On October 26, 2009, a female student was in her car in D lot around 3:00 PM when a white male, 40s, wearing a blue dress shirt and khaki pants, with a receding hair line approached her with a map in his hand.  He asked her for directions and leaned into her car and placed the map near her genital area.   The victim drove away.  A search of the area and other parking lots were negative for the suspect.

The description of the suspect and his method of operation match that of a suspect who was touching females (4th Degree Sexual Offense) last spring and fall semester on the Arnold campus and at the Community College of Baltimore County, Catonsville, Maryland.

October 19, 2009:  AACO# 2009-742041

On October 19, 2009, at approximately 12:10 PM the public safety officer at GBTC was approached by a college employee who stated the following: She was sitting on a bench outside of Maria D’s Sub Shop at 111 Crain Hwy., Glen Burnie, MD. She was approached by two male subjects. One of the subjects grabbed her purse, which she had laid beside her on the bench. Both subjects fled toward the Food Lion parking lot on foot. The employee was unharmed. The county police were contacted by public safety and are searching the area. 

Suspect information:  #1 black male, wearing beige hooded sweat shirt and dark blue jeans. 

                                    #2 black male, wearing dark blue shirt and dark blue jeans.

February 26, 2009: AACO# 2009-707448

On February 25, 2009, at approximately 5:26 PM public safety received a call from a female student who stated the following: She was at her vehicle in A lot on the Arnold campus when she was approached by a male subject who asked her for directions to Baltimore. The suspect showed her a map. As she was looking at it, he grabbed her buttocks. The victim went to get into her car but dropped her keys. When she bent down to get them, the suspect grabbed the victim’s breast. The victim told the suspect she was calling the police. The suspect ran to his vehicle and drove toward "West Campus". The victim walked to the Student Services building and called public safety. Public safety arrived in less than a minute. A search for the vehicle and suspect was negative. A description of the suspect and vehicle was given to the police department.

Suspect information: White male, 50 years old, 5’ 11", black hair balding, no facial hair, wearing tan khaki pants and dark maroon long sleeve sweater.

Suspect vehicle: Small black 4-door vehicle. No tag number available.
