Graduates with cap and gown

Congratulations!

You’ve worked hard to get to this point and we’re excited for your accomplishment. We look forward to seeing you walk across that stage, but even if you decide not to attend the ceremony, you’ll need to complete a graduation application to receive your degree or certificate by mail.

Are you receiving multiple degrees/certificates? Double congratulations! Be sure to complete a separate application for each degree or certificate.

If you previously applied for graduation and discovered that you did not fully complete your requirements, but will meet those requirements in another term, apply again by the deadline for the term you wish to graduate.

Two Ways to Apply

MyAACC

MyAACC is by far the best and fastest way to go.  Go to MyAACC > Menu > Self Services> Credit Students > Academic Profile > Graduation Application. You will receive an instant email receipt with important graduation information once you submit your online application.

Paper

If you no longer have a valid MyAACC account, complete and submit this graduation application. You will be sent a letter by U.S. Mail within two weeks confirming the receipt of your application, indicating when the application will be reviewed, and providing information regarding diploma receipt and ceremony information.

When to Apply

For Spring graduation:

Jan. 1-March 1

Deadline: March 1

For Summer graduation:

June 1-July 1

Deadline: July 1

For Fall graduation:

Commencement Ceremony

While students can graduate three times a year—spring, summer and fall—AACC holds only one commencement ceremony each Spring.

Information will be mailed to Summer and Fall 2017 graduates and to Spring 2018 prospective graduates in early March 2018. The information is time sensitive and includes cap and gown purchasing deadlines.

Diplomas

Notation of spring graduation will be reflected on transcripts June 15, 2017. Diplomas will be mailed June 30, 2017 to all successful spring graduation applicants. Notation of summer graduation will be reflected on transcripts Sept. 15, 2017. Diplomas will be mailed Sept. 30, 2017 to all successful summer graduation candidates.

Graduation Honors

Graduation honors will be awarded to associate degree recipients whose adjusted cumulative GPAs are as follows:

3.4 to 3.59 cum laude

3.6 to 3.79 magna cum laude

3.8 to 4.0 summa cum laude

Phi Theta Kappa and Chi Alpha Epsilon
