Want to become a Bowie State Bulldog? Each year, our students successfully transfer from AACC to Bowie State University.

Transfer credits to Bowie State

AACC works closely with Bowie State to offer graduates a seamless transfer process. Here are a few of the advantages of starting at AACC.

  • Save close to $8,566 on tuition with two years at AACC followed by two years at Bowie State. (See cost comparison)
  • Major in one of the programs listed below at AACC and get priority admission and direct transfer into Bowie State's corresponding major in junior standing. Or work with an AACC transfer advisor to customize your own academic program plan to successfully transfer.
  • Up to 65 AACC credits can be transferred and used for your bachelor's degree, including fulfilling most general education requirements or prerequisites.

Scholarships for Bowie State Transfers

Bowie State University offers the following scholarships to transfer students:

  • Merit-based scholarships of up to $4,000 to full-time transfer students pursuing their first bachelor's degree.
  • BSU Associate of Arts in Teaching scholarship of up to $2,000 to full-time transfer students from a community college with an Associate of Arts in Teaching degree, which is offered at AACC.
  • BSU guarantees a scholarship award to at least one AACC Honors program student with a maximum of two AACC Honors students enrolled in the BSU Honors program during any academic school year. The scholarship award includes in-state tuition and fees.

What can I study at Bowie State?

Bowie State offers several academic programs. AACC and Bowie State have developed transfer agreements and select transfer guides to ensure that you transfer successfully. If your program or major is not listed, you can work with a transfer advisor at AACC to create a custom transfer plan.
