Intermediate Pottery Wheel

Intermediate Pottery Wheel Expand knowledge of basic pottery, emphasizing advanced instruction to strengthen pottery wheel skills. Create larger, more complicated forms. Shape lids for jars and containers, form spouts for pitchers, pull and attach clay handles. Learn decorative techniques, how to alter forms, slip application, washes and wax resist. Enrollment limit: 5. $260+ includes $200 fee. Prerequisite: ARS 311 Basic Pottery Wheel or equivalent experience recommended. Note: Fee includes first 20 lbs. of clay and one firing. Bring a basic pottery tool kit, small bucket and sponge to class. Wear old work clothes, apron and closed-toe shoes.
