Evidence-Based Management of Type 2 Diabetes: An Overview of Strategies that Work Discuss the epidemiology, pathophysiology and economic considerations of type 2 diabetes. Review pathophysiological changes relating to diabetic micro vascular complications, such as diabetic neuropathy, retinopathy and nephropathy. Learn current American Diabetes Association and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists recommendations for the overall plan of care. Learn key resources for patient education. Discuss innovations and emerging treatments to prevent and treat diabetes and its complications. CEUs awarded. $75 includes $5 fee. Note: Approved for four hours of American Academy of Physician Assistants Category I CME credit by the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Approved for four contact hours, including 2.13 hours of pharmacology, by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
