Service Learning Projects
Anne Arundel Community College offers a wide variety of service-learning projects, matching course learning objectives with community needs. The Center for Learning through Service helps to facilitate the student placement process, supporting individual placements as well as class group projects.
Projects examples are:

- Business statistics students conducted a survey to determine housing conditions for Anne Arundel County residents.
- Human Services students in a Crisis Intervention Counseling class created an emergency preparedness brochure PDF.
- Marketing students developed sales and marketing skills while promoting the college's annual Global Giving Market to benefit those in need around the world.
- Architecture students participated in Canstruction®, designing and building structures out of cans of food that are donated to local emergency food programs at the end of the event.
- Sales and Marketing students, working with Partners in Care, organized and promoted March Madness, a boutique sale, which benefited Partners in Care programs and services for the elderly
- Small Business Management students planned and coordinated a Day of Fun car wash and show, with the proceeds donated to Meals on Wheels.
