Community Service Projects

Community Service projects are opportunities open to our students and to the community to participate in serving others.

Donate a Dress - The Student Life Office and Campus Activities Board are sponsoring a "Once Upon a Prom" event. New and gently used prom-style dresses, shoes and accessories are collected from donations from the AACC community, for girls who might not otherwise be able to afford to attend the prom. In March, local girls in need are invited to participate in the event and choose items, free of charge. To donate, bring your new or gently used dresses, shoes, purses, jewelry, hair accessories, etc., to the Student Life Office in SUN 202. Items must be clean, free of stain or tears and preferably on a hanger. Collection occurs year-round. Donation receipt available on request. kfherrera@aacc.edu.

AACC Student Food Pantry - The Student Life office accepts donations for the Food Pantry for students who come to school hungry and cannot afford to buy food. Popular items include: microwavable meals and snacks, small drinks, breakfast bars, individual fruit servings, soups, cereal, etc. Donations can be dropped off at the Student Life office in SUN 202.
