Academic Support Center - Other School Testing (OST)

Are you from another college, university or institution looking for AACC to proctor your exams?

The Testing Office provides proctoring services for individual and groups from other colleges, universities and institutions. The Testing Office must receive a written request from the institution with detailed information on how and when to administer the exam and contact information for the instructor or the university testing center. A postage paid return envelope should accompany the exam to mail the completed exam to the University. There is a $30 OST administration fee. 

We also offer OST Accuplacer exams and there is proctor fee of $15.

Steps to take an OST at AACC:

  1. Contact your instructor, to ask if possible to take at AACC.
  2. Tell your instructor which site you are requesting:
    1. AACC – Arnold, 101 College Parkway Sun 240, Arnold, MD 21012 or
    2. AACC – Amil, 7009 Arundel Mills Circle Room 112, Hanover, MD 21076
      NOTE: We do NOT give OST exams at Glen Burnie Town Center!
  3. Have the instructor fill out and return the electronic Test Administration Form (TAF) PDF which must be sent along with the exam.

NOTE: The exam and the TAF PDF form must be sent together and may be received through the mail or by e-mail.

NOTE: If completed exam must return through the mail, we require a pre-addressed postage paid envelope.

NOTE: If computer/online exam is taken without a return envelope, it is assumed the test was submitted electronically.

NOTE: If special software is required, AACC’s Help Desk requires up to 3 months notice.

    4. The Student, two days before the exam, should verify that the AACC Testing Office has receive the exam. Contact: 410-777-2375 or e-mail testing-arnold@aacc.edu. 

    5.  The Student on the day of the exam:          
         a.   should come with enough time to take the exam in the allotted time and within the
               hours of operation in the Testing Office,PDF         
         b.   is required to show picture ID,
         c.   must pay the current fee: OST $30 or OST Placement $15.
