Technology Learning Center & Computer Commons Lab Rules

The rules outlined below are needed to provide our users with labs that are clean, welcoming and fully operational. Thank you in advance for observing these important  regulations.

ATTENTION ALL TLC\CC USERS:

All TLC\CC users are required to abide by the following rules:

  • Users are required to sign in at the front desk before using a lab computer.
  • Absolutely, no food or drinks in the lab!
  • Displaying inappropriate materials on computer desktops or wireless notebooks is prohibited – this includes but is not limited to images, e-mails, music, videos, and text!
  • Do not save any of your files to the C: drive of a lab computer as they will be automatically deleted when you log off. Use the H: drive to permanently store your files. 
  • Do not install any software - this includes but is not limited to Yahoo! Messenger, games, etc!
  • Playing computer games on lab computers is prohibited.
  • Do not move any computer equipment.
  • Printing is limited to only 10 pages.

VIOLATIONS OF THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION.

When using our labs please remember that: 

  • AACC students working on class assignments have priority use of computers and scanners. Please limit your time to 30 minutes when using a PC that is attached to a scanner. 
  • Certain TLC PCs (please see a Technical Assistant for their location in the lab) are prioritized for use by students with a Diagnosed Special Need (ADA).
  • Technical Assistants are available to help you if you have any technical questions about our lab resources. 
  • You should always logout of MyAACC to ensure the security of your academic information.
  • Headphones are available for checkout at the front desk. 
  • Any unwanted paper can be recycled by placing it in the recycling boxes located next to each printer.
