The Electronics Engineering Technologies program is designed to give you the theory and practical skills to prepare you for a job as a technician in today’s high-tech work place. There are two Associate Degree options: Electronics and Telecommunications.
Electronics Degree Option: It provides a two-year degree in electronics allowing a graduate to enter the workforce as an electronics technician. It provides courses meeting requirements for the first two years of a four-year bachelor’s degree in electronics technology. Entry into the option requires no previous electronic experience. The option is designed so that all students take a coordinated set of basic electronic courses, and then take elective courses in their area of interest. Elective courses cover computers and computer repair, electronic communications and electro-mechanical systems.
Telecommunications Degree Option: It assists students in preparing to become engineering technicians in the field of telecommunications, to update their skills or to broaden their base of knowledge. The program provides a general background in electronics and computer systems specifically oriented to their applications in telecommunications systems. It covers data communications concepts and a wide variety of telecommunications systems.
The electronics engineering technologies program differs from a traditional four-year engineering program.
