Online Courses
Online courses are a form of distance education in which a majority of course work is completed via the Internet. Online courses cover the same material as traditional on-campus courses, and the learning outcomes are the same. Learner-to-learner and learner-to-instructor interactions occur through a variety of tools, including email, asynchronous discussion forums, chat sessions, or in a virtual classroom. Although online courses allow 24/7 access to learning, they are NOT self-paced. Online courses have a start and end date, and your instructor will set deadline dates for assignments and assessments. Students who enroll in credit online courses may be required to take assessments in the college’s testing center or in a proctored environment.
