The following work-study job opportunities are available for students with the Visual Arts Department:


Computer Lab Technical Assistant

Help support the day and evening operations of the computers, computer labs, and related equipment in the Visual Arts Department. This individual will work under the direct supervision of the Network Support Specialist for the Visual Arts Department.

Cade Art Gallery Assistant

Work will include prepping gallery walls, installing exhibitions, coordinating mailings and sending e-blast notifications regarding upcoming exhibitions. Student worker will also assist with updating inventory lists and will coordinate incoming and outgoing artwork at the beginning and end of each exhibition. In addition, the student worker may be asked to assist with the Cade Gallery's online presence.

Clay Mixer/Ceramic & 3D/Sculpture Studio Assistant

Mix clay for the ceramics and sculpture labs.  Keep labs clean and organized on a daily basis.  Assist with other jobs within the Art Department as needed.

Sculpture/Ceramics Instructional Support

Monitor the ceramics and sculpture labs when in use by students after class hours, keep the labs clean and organized on a daily basis, enforce safety practices and responsibilities of students working in the labs, mix clay and glaze when needed, help handle student work through the firing process, other tasks within the Art Department as needed.
