How do adolescent girls handle the enormous pressures of peer approval and changing hormones? This touching film explores sexuality, relationships and AIDS by documenting the thoughts and fears of three teenage girls who wrestle with these issues each day. (54 minutes)

In The Time of Butterflies
Based on the true story of the three Mirabal sisters whose deaths were called an accident, this film takes place in the Dominican Republic during the violent Trujillo dictatorship. The Mirabals’ courageous opposition to Trujillo’s makes us wonder: were they murdered? (95 minutes)

If I Could: Breaking the Vicious Cycle of Child Abuse
The rage and despair of two generations of abuse descend upon Tracy Marasco and her son as they attempt to work through the trauma of sexual abuse by family members. While their pain is palpable, their struggle is also permeated by hope and determination. (99 minutes)

Out of Control: AIDS in Black America
Practically ignored outside black communities, the startling rise in AIDS among African Americans is a major health concern in the United States. This film shows discussions among major black leaders as well as men living their lives with HIV. Peter Jennings has done the investigative work for this excellent documentary. (41 minutes)
