An introduction to members of the animal kingdom and their closest relatives. Study how animals have evolved adaptations that allow representatives to occupy all terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Students will learn how vertebrate and invertebrate animals are classified and how particular adaptive strategies are important for their survival though an examination of animal form and physiology. Lab fee $70. Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENG 101/ENG 101A and eligibility for any general education math.
