Examine the myths, demographics, psychosocial perspectives and biomedical aspects of growing old in America. Discuss issues impacting older persons including economics, politics, religion, leisure, social/living environment, intimacy and sexuality, health care and death and dying. Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENG 101/ENG 101A. Note: Also offered as SOC 150; credit is not given for both HUS 150 and SOC 150.
