Examine the history of the Mount Cuba Center, its connection to the DuPont family and the conditions of the 1930s. Explore the trial gardens, Round Gardens and the South Lawn. Discover the process that transformed the hundred-acre farm into a horticultural ecosystem. Lecture is followed by a guided tour of Mount Cuba Center and Gardens. $104 includes $49 fee. Note: Transportation included. Extensive walking required. Participants must be able to walk and stand for hours without assistance. Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the outdoors.
