CTS-130 Networking 1

Describe the devices and services used to support communications in data networks and the Internet. Describe the role of protocol layers in data networks. Design, calculate, and apply subnet masks and addresses in IPv4 and IPv6 networks. Explain Ethernet concepts such as media, services, and operations. Build simple Ethernet networks using routers and switches. Use Cisco commandline (CLI) commands to perform basic router and switch configurations. Utilize network utilities to verify small networks and analyze data traffic. Lab fee $5. Prerequisite: CTS 110.
