Practice digital forensics response and examination techniques. Recover and analyze digital evidence using industry standard commercial and open source tools. Evaluate operating systems and file systems to locate and analyze evidence using various Windows, Linux and Mac command line and GUI tools. Use investigation results to develop comprehensive forensic reports. Lab fee $60. Prerequisite: CJS 170 or CTS 170. Note: Also offered as CJS 207; credit is not given for both CTS 207 and CJS 207.
