After nearly a year of research, demos, testing, and feedback from students, faculty, and staff, AACC has selected Canvas as its new learning management system (LMS)! Canvas was selected as the best choice to provide an effective online learning environment for online, hybrid, and web-enhanced courses.
Canvas will replace the current LMS (ANGEL), beginning with the Summer 2014 term. Canvas offers a wide range of enhancements, including collaborative work spaces and push technology. Students will be able to receive course updates and reminders, where and when they want--by email, text messaging, and even Facebook.
- With Canvas you can use your laptop, iPad, or other mobile device to access hybrid and online courses.
- With Canvas you can receive notifications in your preferred mode--you choose.
- With Canvas you have options for communication.
- With Canvas you can sync all your course calendars.
