AACC offers senior adult courses at a reduced price in partnership with area senior centers. Designed to improve skills, sharpen your mind and enhance your quality of life, courses include computer technology, history and healthy living and more. Classes are held at area senior centers as well as the Arnold campus. For more information about courses, contact Sandy DeMarino at AACC’s Center on Aging at email@example.com or 410-777-2609.
The Center on Aging also offers other courses for students in midlife and older including the Guild for LIFE, LifeStages and the Peer Learning Partnership.
Senior Adult Course Registration
While the fee structure for classes held at the senior centers and those senior adult classes held at the Arnold campus are the same, registration for the Arnold campus courses is different.
Registration for Courses Held on the Arnold Campus
Seniors and disabled retirees can register now for fall courses, held at the Arnold campus. These classes are listed in the Noncredit Schedule of Classes and follow the same registration dates as all other noncredit open enrollment classes. You can register online, by fax, mail STARS or in person.
Registration for Courses Held at the Senior Centers
You can register for winter 2015 courses at the senior centers beginning Sept 30th. Either online, by fax, mail, STARS or in person at the Continuing Education registration counter in CALT 115 on the Arnold Campus. Visit www.aacc.edu/noncredit. For questions about registration, please contact the School of Continuing Education Instructional Support Center at 410-777-2325 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Senior courses are for individuals age 55 and older as well as disabled retirees certified by the Social Security Administration. Disabled retirees must complete a Disability Verification Form which is available through the AACC business office and at most senior centers. Yearly verification is required.
Students ages 55-59 must pay $40 tuition per course plus an $80 administrative fee per three-month cycle (cycle fee). Seniors ages 60 and older and disabled retirees pay only the $80 cycle fee, as well as for supplies and lab fees. Course cycles (similar to terms) are January-March, April-June, July-September and October-December.
Find Your Course
Quickest way to find the most recent course availability is through AACC’s online course search. Go to www.aacc.edu/search/course/, select a term, then senior citizen courses.
