The Philip E. and Carole R. Ratcliffe Entrepreneurial Studies Scholarship program includes an Entrepreneurial Studies Scholarship, an Internship Scholarship, a Small Business Owner Scholarship and a Seed Fund award.

As a Ratcliffe Scholar, you will receive the following:

  • Education.
  • Practical experience.
  • Resources to support entrepreneurial student success.
  • Financial support to cover costs of courses, books and major supplies.

Entrepreneurial Studies Ratcliffe Scholarship

The Entrepreneurial Studies Scholarship is available to anyone who has entrepreneurial aspirations, is accepted into the program, and meets the criteria.

The scholarship award may be used to pay for the following:

  • Tuition.
  • Fees.
  • Books.
  • Required course materials.

Every scholarship recipient will be paired with a mentor who will provide guidance and advice. The mentors and mentees will be required to meet and actively participate in the ESI Mentor-ship Program. There is a lifetime maximum of $10,000 per student for the Entrepreneurial Studies Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Completed FAFSA.
  • Completed application for enrollment at AACC.
  • GPA of 2.5 or better to retain scholarship (First time applicants must have a GPA of 2.0 or better to apply).
  • Academic plan current and on file with the ESI scholarship program manager, which is updated, reviewed and approved each semester. 

Deadline

The application deadline is October 31 by Noon.


Internship Scholarship

The Internship Scholarship provides $1,500 stipend for 100-120 hours

Students receive a practical learning opportunity to complement their classroom learning.

Requirements

  • Establish an internship agreement with assistance from the AACC Internship Office.
  • Register for ESI 275 Internship in Business I.

Small Business Owner Scholarship

The Small Business Owner Scholarship is available to current business owners who seek to improve business efficiency and/or expand their operations by taking credit or non-credit courses in specific areas of business. Recipients receive $3000 toward their AACC courses.

This scholarship is intended for students who may wish to earn a Letter of Recognition or Certificate. Degree-seeking students should apply for the Entrepreneurial Studies Scholarship.
