JEROME W. KLASMEIER

Appointed 2002 to fill out term of member who resigned; reappointed 2008 to fill out term of member who resigned
Vice Chair 2011-2012, 2008-2009, 2004-2006

Jerome W. Klasmeier of Crownsville joined the AACC Board of Trustees in 2002 to fill out the term of a member who stepped down. During his first term, Klasmeier served as vice chair for two years, 2004-05 and 2005-06. In 2008, he was appointed to fill out the six-year term of another member and served as vice chair of the board from 2008-2009.

Klasmeier, assistant comptroller for the state of Maryland, has had a distinguished career in public service for many years. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola College and served in the U.S. Army as a commissioned officer.

He has served nearly four decades in state and county government, including serving as chief administrative officer to County Executive Janet Owens and as a former special projects consultant to Anne Arundel County. His civic work includes service as a member of the Hospice of the Chesapeake Foundation, the Providence Center board of directors and the advisory board to the adjutant general of the Maryland National Guard Military Youth Corps Challenge Program.
