Aging Studies Program
What is Aging Studies?
Aging Studies is the study of human aging and older adults. A gerontologist is trained to understand the physical, biological, psychological, social and cultural aspects of aging. A gerontologist may be employed in business, recreation, government, health services, housing, research and development, law, medicine or myriad other occupational niches.

What does the program provide?
This program provides opportunities not only for those interested in direct service provision to older adults, but also to health professionals, educators, researchers, and those in recreation, business and marketing who must increasingly take into account a significant proportion of older persons among their clientele and target populations.
