Frequently Asked Financial Aid Questions
How do I request a Tax Return Transcript?
You have three options for getting copies of your federal tax return information--tax return transcripts and tax account transcripts--by phone, by mail, or online. If you have been selected for verification, our office needs a tax return transcript to process your file. Order A Transcript on-line from the IRS website, by phone at 1-800-908-9946 or by mail using IRS Form 4506T (Request for Transcript of Tax Return). The IRS does not charge a fee for transcripts. Allow five to ten days for delivery if you order online or by phone. If you filed an amended tax return, we will need a tax return transcript AND a tax account summary from the IRS.
My aid has already been processed and awarded, but how and when will I receive it?
Eligible enrolled students whose grant, scholarship, and/or certified loan funds exceed their charges may be eligible to use Book Advances to charge their books against their pending aid. Eligible students will be notified by e-mail. If you haven't received your advance by e-mail, please login to MyAACC, visit the Self Services tab, then go to the "Financial Aid" section.
If will not apply for financial aid , but still need assistance purchasing books, you may be eligible to borrow a Book Payment Plan. All your payment plan payments must be current with the Cashier’s Office. Book Payment Plans may only be used for books and supplies at the AACC College Store and must be repaid during the semester. Apply at the Financial Aid Office.
