AACC awards college credit for advanced placement exam scores that are 3 or higher depending on the course.

AP exams usually are administered at the end of an advanced placement course taken at a student’s high school. However, there are opportunities to take AP courses and exams through an approved provider. If you wish to share your AP score reports with AACC, you must ask the College Board to send them directly to AACC Records and Registration.

What AP Scores does AACC accept?

Consult the chart below to see how your AP scores equate to AACC courses. Keep in mind that each college has different standards for accepting AP scores, so be sure to consult the requirements of the four-year school to which you plan to transfer as you plan your course load. It is very possible that if you score a 3 on an AP exam and AACC awards credit for that score, but the four-year school to which you transfer requires a 4, you will not receive credit at your four-year school for that course.
