Architecture and Interior Design Transfer Institutions

The Architecture and Interior Design Department Program has developed a number or articulation agreements with partner institutions. Some of these universities have transfer agreements with AACC, others evaluate credits on an individual basis. All universities require a portfolio of student work for granting transfer credits. Students are advised to retain all work (i.e. exercises, schematic sketches and final projects) for all courses to show the design process. Architecture students will design a portfolio as part of their studio assignments in ACH 212-Architectural Design 4.

Most colleges require our two-year degree for acceptance into their program. Transfer students are normally accepted as juniors and will be placed into a design studio based on their portfolio, usually a second or third year studio. The better the portfolio, the higher the placement.

For more information on transfers, please contact Professor Michael Ryan, the Department Chair at 410-777-2437 or mdryan@aacc.edu.
