Architecture & Interior Design Student Success Stories

Hear what our students have to say! We receive numerous compliments from our students on the quality of instruction in our program. This is just a few who have contacted us recently. Many students learn of the value of our program and facilities once they leave and transfer.

Tell us about your success story! E-mail Professor Michael Ryan at mdryan@aacc.edu.

One key to success - Travel Study

"I was just writing to say hello and see how everything has been going. It has been a while but I just wanted to thank you for the classes you taught, I learned a lot and can't say I've had the pleasure of having a real good professor in a while. The architecture program at AACC was a great program and the teachers equally as good. I was lucky to have had the opportunity to be surrounded by those with as much knowledge and experience as those within the program. Thank you again and I hope all has been well."

"Wanted to update you on the success that I had at CUA, which I feel was directly benefited by my experience and your training at AACC. First of all, I had skills available to me that many other grad students from other walks of life did not have, especially CAD, model making and presentation skills. The facilities at AACC I find rival and at times are more reliable, so I am glad that the best technologies, and great computer systems, are at AACC. I finished with the highest GPA of my M.Arch classmates, and won the AIA School Medal and Certificate of Merit, presented to the top graduate student in each program. I was also awarded the Rauenhorst academic scholarship in the amount of $5000 for my final semester of study based on my GPA up to that point. For my thesis work, I was awarded the Pierre Paul Childs Memorial Thesis Award for Excellence in Architecture and Urban Design."

"Thank you all! For it has been a pleasure to have been a student in your program and to have been a student under each of your instruction. It has been such a great experience for me to have transferred from Anne Arundel Community College and embarked onto a different culture here at Morgan State University. Again I thank you all, for it was not only because of me making it through, but also because of you. This semester I will be graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Architecture & Planning."

"During my few minutes of spare time I started hunting for summer employment and thought about the good times at AACC. In one week I will have completed my first year as an architecture major at Penn State. AACC gave me a good foundation and has helped me to succeed here. Many thanks to you all for your academic support, guidance, and the wonderful college recommendations many of you wrote for me. I was fortunate to get a summer internship based on my knowledge of CAD and construction documentation. My boss was very impressed with the work we accomplished at AACC."

“I feel fortunate to have been a part of your department. It is outstanding and many folks have come to recognize it as such. I would never have had the tenacity to complete my degree if it were just mediocre. I have experienced many wonderful professors, all of whom I have enjoyed. I just wanted share with you the high regard I feel for the work you do and the department you have created. I should know, having watched it grow and develop over the past several years.”

"I am two classes away from getting my 5-year degree in architecture. It has been a long road, but I wanted to write and let you know that if it were not for the type of education, yourself and professors like you, I would never have made it this far. I want to thank you for the knowledge you gave me to continue on to a 5-year university and to be able to compete at that level with the other students. I will always remember the education I received and the effort put forth by the faculty at AACC promoting learning and success."

"Thanks for the education. It really came in handy and you will be pleased to know that the skills I learned in the architectural program at AACC I have used every day of my life since I left AACC and I am able to make a pretty good living. I completed the associates in arts degree in architectural technologies at AACC, then I transferred to Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, where I completed a 5-year engineering program and earned a BS in architectural engineering and a BS in civil engineering."
