Professor John Markowski

I escaped from East Baltimore to become an architect; I loved living in Washington, New York and the West Coast. I then spent six months working for the U.S. Information Agency in the USSR during the height of the COLD WAR and took another several months to wander through the rest of Europe. Eventually I ended up in Berkeley/San Francisco in the late sixties where I tried to walk on water (successfully). I became an architect and returned to Baltimore where I opened my practice and began teaching at AACC. My four children all love me now…life is good.
