We expect to expand our need for astronomy lab professors in the near future. These sections are held 7-10 p.m. at the AACC Observatory at the Arnold Campus. The Observatory has seven permanently installed student telescopes under a sliding roof. In addition to the 8 to 11-inch telescopes, our equipment also includes narrow and solar filters, a CCD camera, Internet-live PCs, binoculars, et al. We are in the process of acquiring a spectroscope. In the event of poor weather, hands-on or computer astrophysics labs are held.
