Description: (160 Contact Hours/Non-Credit) In the third course of the Cyber Analyst curriculum, participants demonstrate the knowledge and skills acquired through Cyber Analyst I and Cyber Analyst II of the sequence. Following a brief review of concepts, tools and techniques covered in previous levels of the Cyber Analyst curriculum, participants are assigned a target. Upon assignment of a target, participants research the target using data mining techniques taught in previous lessons. In a simulated environment, participants review traffic entering and leaving their target network and document their findings. Following the external network monitoring phase, participants monitor internal network traffic, including intrusion detection and prevention. Upon completion of the exercises, participants will document their findings and build a network map. After all phases of reconnaissance are complete, participants create a target package and present the package to instructors in both written and oral formats. The EC-Council C|EH certification exam is included as a component of this course.
