Description: (40 Hours/Non-Credit) Prepare to take the CompTIA Security+ Certification Exam by engaging in a fast-paced review of the six Security+ exam objectives: (1) network security; (2) compliance and operational security; (3) threats and vulnerabilities; (4) application, data and access control and identify management; and (6) cryptography.
Format: In-person instructor led training.
Prerequisite: The ideal candidate for this course will meet one of the following:
(a) Have completed 15 or more semester hours of academic coursework in computer security terms and concepts, networking and network security;
(b) Have completed 2 or more years working in the cyber security, computer security, information security, and/or information assurance career fields;
(c) Have completed a combination of academic coursework and on-the-job experience in cyber security, computer security, information security, and/or information assurance totaling 2 or more years combined.
