The AACC Dance Company is performance-based and selected by audition only. Auditions are typically scheduled for the second week of classes during the fall and spring semesters: spring 2017 auditions, are scheduled for Tuesday, January 24, from 3-5pm, in Cade 103.
No need to prepare a solo for the audition, just come prepared to dance. Upon selection, Dance Company members are given the opportunity to choreograph their own work, as well as to dance the work of guest choreographers (typically fall semester only), and the Director during each semester.

Performance opportunities extend beyond the college (click the Dance Events link for upcoming Dance Company performances) as the Dance Company members participate in service learning projects throughout the year. Mini-performances, lecture/demonstrations and "guest spots" have the Company dancing in and around the county at various elementary, middle, high school, and college venues.
As members of both, the Maryland Council for Dance and the American College Dance Association ("ACDA"), Dance Company members are able to attend the respective dance conferences. Typically, the full company travels to the ACDA conference in the spring, providing dancers with a great educational experience.
