The Mechantronics program at Anne Arundel Community College (www.aacc.edu/mechatronics) has a need for adjunct instructors in the fields of Mechantronics/Automation and Industrial Maintenance. Program curriculum includes PLCs, Pneumatics/Hydraulics, Mechanical Systems, Robotics, Solidworks/AutoCad, and AC/DC theory. Classes are very hands on, industrial-grade equipment, such as: FESTO trainers, Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, Arduino microcontrollers, VEX systems, and LAB volt motor trainers. The program has been in place since 2013 so course objectives have been established.
Bachelors degree or higher in Automated Systems, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Robotics Technology, or related field is desired but not mandatory. Work experience may be substituted.
A minimum of three years' experience in a related field is required. Strong oral communication skills, professional attitude, desire to help others is a must.
