From basic keyboarding to advanced technology certifications including those in cybersecurity, the Cyber and Technology Training department oversees noncredit technology for individuals as well as customized training to government agencies, businesses and nonprofit organizations.  

We are currently seeking to fill the following positions, all of which require applicants to be able to teach days, evenings and weekends and pass a background check. Salaries will be commensurate with education, certifications and experience. AutoCAD Part-Time Instructor

Duties 

Teach AutoCAD classes.

Required Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in architectural drafting, mechanical, industrial or civil engineering.
  • Post-graduate degree(s) a plus.
  • Related industry certifications highly preferred (e.g. Autodesk).
  • Documented experience teaching adult learners.

Cloud Computing Adjunct Instructor

Duties 

Teach Cloud Computing classes.

Required Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in programming, computer science, mathematics, information systems or related discipline.
  • Cloud/Cloud-related certifications high preferred.
  • Familiarity with Java, C#, Eclipse and Visual Studio.
  • Experience developing and securing Web applications and Web services.
  • Experience working with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience working with virtualization techniques, knowledge of major Cloud providers.
  • Knowledge of the following: Software as a Service (SaaS), Delivering Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Deploying Infrastructure as a Service (laaS).
  • Knowledge and experience with Big Data and/or Hadoop.
  • Documented experience teaching/training adult learners required.

Computer Programming Adjunct Instructor

Duties 

Teach Computer Programming classes.

Required Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in programming, computer science, mathematics, information systems, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of cumulative, full-time documented computer programming work experience.
  • Familiar with all aspects of programming including, but not limited to: Python, C++, PHP, Java, Ruby, C#, C, JavaScript.

Cyber and Technology Training Instructor

Duties 

Teach Cyber and Technology Training classes.

Required Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Possess related industry certification (where applicable).
  • Have experience teaching in one or more of the following topics:
    • ITIL.
    • Python.
    • Certified Ethical Hacker.
    • Network+.
    • Security+.
    • CISSP.
    • HTML5.
    • SQL.
    • CTT+.
    • Adobe Creative Cloud.
    • Cloud Computing.
    • Reverse engineering/malware.
    • Database management.
    • Programming.
    • IT project management.

Hadoop Adjunct Instructor

Duties

Teach Hadoop classes.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of five (5) years of cumulative, full-time, documented big data/data analytics preferably with Hadoop work experience.
  • Documented experience teaching/training adult learners required.
  • Bachelor's degree in programming, computer science, mathematics, information systems or related discipline.
  • Candidate will also be required to complete a satisfactory background investigation.

Malware Analysis Adjunct Instructor

Duties 

Teach Malware Analysis classes.

Required Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in programming, computer science, mathematics, information systems, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of cumulative, full-time documented work experience in InfoSec.
  • Documented experience teaching/training adult learners.
  • An advanced understanding of the following areas:
    • Network protocol analysis.
    • Malware analysis.
    • Intrusion techniques and analysis.
    • Vulnerability research.
    • Operating systems internals (Windows and/or UNIX/Linux).
    • Computer programming languages and strong programming skills.
    • Advanced network technologies.
  • Knowledge of EnCase, IDAPro, Ollydbg, Immunity Debugger, Anti-Debugging tricks, operation of security technologies: Firewall, Log management, patch management, anti-virus, IDS/IPS, forensics.

MOS 2016 Certified Instructor

Duties

Teach MOS 2016 classes.

Required Qualifications

  • MOS 2016 certification.
  • Documented experience teaching/training adult learners required.
  • Bachelor's degree (highly preferred if in programming, computer science, mathematics, information systems, or related discipline).

QuickBooks Accounting and Bookkeeping Instructor

Duties

Teach QuickBooks Accounting and Bookkeeping classes.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidate must be proficient in Quickbooks 13-up.
  • Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of MS Office 13 and above.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of cumulative, full-time, documented bookkeeping/accounting work experience.
  • Documented experience teaching/training adult learners required.
  • Bachelor’s degree

Highly preferred candidates will have one or more of the following:

  • QuickBooks certification and/or other technical certification(s)
  • Master’s Degree in accounting or business related area.
  • Professional certification in related field, such as CPA or CMA.

Hours

Days, evenings and weekends available
An instructor available to teach weekdays (mornings and/or afternoons) is highly preferred.


Raspberry Pi ioT and Programming Instructor

Duties

Teach Raspberry Pi ioT & Programming classes.

Qualifications

  • Required: Candidate must be proficient in Raspberry Pi programming and have a in-depth understanding of the Internet of Things (IoT). Must have a working knowledge of  programming in Java, Python, Robot C, Raspberry Pi. Phone app dev, Game programming.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of cumulative, full-time, documented computer programming work experience.
  • Documented experience teaching/training adult learners required.
  • Bachelor’s degree. 

Highly preferred candidates will have one or more of the following:

  • A working knowledge of phone app development, game programming, ROBOTC.
  • Raspberry Pi Certified Educator/Picademy graduate

Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Adjunct Instructor/Curriculum Developer

Duties 

Teach or develop Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) classes.

Required Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering, aeronautics, computer science, mathematics, information systems or other related field.
  • At least two years UAS industry or academic experience pertaining to either public or civil operations.
  • Must hold either a pr4ivate or a recreational/sport pilot certificate in good standing.
  • Documented experience teaching/training adult learners.
