Paramedic Certificate and Degree Course Sequence

Paramedics are in great demand. As advances in patient care technologies and therapies occur, the role of the paramedic will expand to meet the challenges.

FIRST YEAR - SPRING TERM 
EMT 140 - Paramedic 1 (13)

FIRST YEAR - SUMMER TERM
EMT 147 - ALS Unit Practicum (2) 

FIRST YEAR - FALL TERM 
EMT 142 - Paramedic 2 (13)           

After successful completion of Paramedic 1 and Paramedic 2, students are eligible to sit for the Maryland State EMT-Intermediate exam before completing the Paramedic 3 course.

SECOND YEAR - SPRING TERM 
EMT 236 -  Paramedic 3 (12)

Total Credit Hours for Certificate: minimum of 45
Total Credit Hours for Degree: minimum of 61
