The Anne Arundel Community College EMT-Paramedic program provides you with the advanced knowledge and skill set needed to practice in the pre-hospital arena.
This program is designated as a Health Manpower Shortage Community College Program by the State of Maryland; therefore, some residents of Maryland enrolled in this program of study on the first day of the term may be eligible for in-county tuition rates for courses required for program completion.
AACC offers two options for completing the paramedic program:
- EMT-Paramedic Certificate option
- EMT-Paramedic Degree option
EMT - Paramedic Certificate Option:
Purpose: prepares students for state and national licensure as an EMT-P.
Award: Certificate
Total Credit Hours: a minimum of 54 credit hours
Estimated Cost: $5,611. Tuition and fees are subject to change.
Range of Occupations: EMT-P in a local emergency medical service system, inter-hospital transport, or in an industry or health care setting.
EMT - Paramedic Degree Option:
Purpose: Prepares students for state and national licensure as an EMT-P.
Award: Associate of applied science, A.A.S
Total Credit Hours: a minimum of 70 credit hours.
Estimated Cost: $7,091. Tuition and fees are subject to change.
Range of Occupations: EMT-P in local fire and emergency medical services departments, inter-hospital transport, or in an industry or health care facility.
