Engineering Technologies Department

Anne Arundel Community College is very pleased to offer a full range of Engineering and Engineering Technology programs. All courses are offered in the day and evening. The three areas of programs are Engineering Transfer, Electronics Technology, and Drafting/CAD.

Engineering Transfer                                          This program allows students to earn the first two years of their four-year engineering degree at AACC. The program offers two basic engineering paths: electrical and mechanical, but is flexible enough to allow other variations such as civil, chemical, or computer engineering. The program was specifically designed so that graduates can transfer directly to the University of Maryland at College Park (UMCP), and other state four-year engineering schools to complete their B.S. degree. Electronics Technology
Our successful Electronics Technology program offers 2-year A.A.S. degrees in Electronics and Telecommunications hardware, and certificate programs in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electro-mechanical and PC Repair. Certificate programs consist of six technical courses. These technology programs have a lower math requirement than the Engineering program, are practical, more "hands-on", and prepare you to be an Electronic Technician.

Drafting/CAD
Our Drafting and CAD (Computer Automated Drafting) certificate program is just five courses and prepares you to be a CAD operator.
