Engineering Technologies Department

Anne Arundel Community College offers a full range of Engineering and Engineering Technology programs to prespre students for exciting jobs in industry and government. All courses are offered in the day and evening. Choose one of three programs: Engineering Transfer, Electronics Technology, and Drafting/CAD.

What We Offer

Engineering Transfer  Degrees 

Students earn the first two years of their four-year engineering degree at AACC and prepares them for transfer directly to the University of Maryland at College Park (UMCP), and other four-year engineering schools. 

Students can choose from courses in mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, computer, biomedical and other engineering area.  View specific program requirements

Electronics Technology 

Students earn a 2-year degree in Electronics or Telecommunications hardware, or a certificate in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electro-mechanical or PC Repair. Certificate programs consist of six technical courses. These technology programs have a lower math requirement than the Engineering program, are practical, more "hands-on", and prepare you to be an Electronic Technician.

Drafting/CAD 

Our Drafting and CAD (Computer Automated Drafting) certificate program is just five courses and prepares you to be a CAD operator.
