Solid Modeling and Rapid Prototyping

Our Solid Modeling and Rapid Prototyping Letter of Recognition program prepares students for initial employment in computer-aided mechanical design and drafting.  Students will learn solid modeling techniques using SolidWorks and develop rapid prototyping skills such as three-dimensional printing and laser cutting.

The objective of this program is to gradually increase the students drafting skill starting with hand-drafting, sketching to basic 2D AutoCAD, then onto 3D AutoCAD shapes, Engineering drawing, and then finally, 3D Solid-modeling. No drafting experience is necessary to enroll in this program, however basic computer literacy is expected for maximum academic success. Students must earn a grade of 'C' or higher in each of the required courses in order to complete the program.

ENT 241: Computer-Aided Drafting, 3 credits
ENT 260: Solid Modeling with SolidWorks, 3 credits
ENT 261: Advanced Solid Modeling, 4 credits

Total: 10 Credits
