Welcome to the Hatchery & Business Resource Center!
WHERE STUDENTS START SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSES!
The Hatchery and Business Resource Center and the Student Business Incubator, have been designed for assisting students wishing to start a new venture or grow their existing business. The Hatchery and Business Resource Center is fully equipped with a business library, private and group work spaces and computers with Internet access as well as software applications helpful to those starting new ventures.
One-on-one or group business advising sessions can be arranged with ESI faculty and business advising agencies to assist students with various issues surrounding the concept, planning, financing, marketing, and management of a small business.
Business Counseling & Academic Advising
The Entrepreneurial Studies Institute (ESI) in partnership with SCORE provide business problem counseling and business academic advising from faculty members and from various sources within the local business community. SCORE has many experienced counselors that will guide you if a specific gap exists in your business planning and operations.
ESI has several advisors with both business and academic experience that can help you determine what courses you need if your knowledge requirements are too deep or broad for targeted SCORE assistance. Additionally, all ESI students receive ongoing business counseling while enrolled in a degree or certificate program. Arrangements for meetings with individuals or groups for Business Counseling and/or Academic Advice can be facilitated through the Hatchery.
All sessions are free and confidential. Prior to your counseling session you will be asked to complete a referral form PDF that briefly describes your business idea, questions you have, issues you want to discuss, and/or information you are trying to gather in order to find the proper advisor for your situation.
Schedule an appointment after submitting your referral form by e-mailing esi@aacc.edu or calling 410-777-2066.
