First2College Educational Talent Search (ETS) is an early intervention program that helps students from families where neither parent graduated from college to better understand their educational opportunities and options.

  • First2College Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a federally funded TRiO program that assists county middle and high school students who dream of pursuing a college education but feel they are facing financial or other challenges.
  • The First2College ETS program provides free resources that will enhance individual academic success, career awareness and personal growth. First2College ETS offers a variety of services for sixth- through 12th-grade students as well as individuas who may have suspended their pursuit of a high school or college education.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE FIRST2COLLEGE PROGRAM? 

  •   Individuals from 11 to 27 years of age, and 
  •   United States citizens or permanent residents and
  •   First generation, college-bound students and/or
  •   Students meeting low income guidelines

  WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?

  •   Tutorial services
  •   Assistance developing and maintaining an educational plan
  •   Career exploration and aptitude assessment
  •   College campus, career awareness, and cultural field trips
  •   Academic, financial aid, scholarship, career, and personal counseling
  •   Assistance completing college, financial aid and scholarship applications
  •   College entrance exams preparation
  •   Adult Basic Education/GED program referrals
  •   Information on secondary and postsecondary vocational education
  •   After school programs
