50th Anniversary Celebration - "Still Golden" Gala 2011

Still Golden - AACC's 50th Anniversary - A Great Success!

Over 475 guests supported this special celebration, exemplifying that our community supports Anne Arundel Community College. Guests enjoyed fabulous cuisine, cocktails, silent and live auctions and entertainment. As an added highlight, over 20 internal departments provided a "Walk Down Memory Lane", presenting cutting-edge technology and on-going successes of our campus community.

The AACC Foundation raised $300,000 that will support student scholarships and special academic programs that are not possible through traditional funding sources. We thank and appreciate all of our 2011 "Golden Sponsors" PDF who made this evening a night to remember! The support of our business and corporate sponsors and friends of AACC is helping the Foundation achieve our mission of providing quality education for all.

Together, on October 15th, our college and community celebrated the history of AACC over the past 50 years at the Roger W. Pip Moyer Recreation Center that was transformed into a beautiful black-tie venue by our 2011 Gala Committee.

Established in 1961 at the Severna Park High School, AACC has grown both academically and in technology, serving over 53,000 students annually. Anne Arundel Community College has earned the reputation as one of the top community colleges in our nation. Our outstanding leadership, faculty and staff continue to support the highest caliber of academic programs and services for our students and residents of Anne Arundel County. We embrace and remain grateful for the support of corporations, businesses, individuals, and friends of AACC, who made this event a fun-filled and successful occasion that will benefit many AACC students throughout the year.

For additional information on other upcoming 50th Anniversary events and opportunities, please contact the AACC Foundation at 410-777-2515 or send us an e-mail at foundation@aacc.edu.

Thank you for celebrating 50 years of educational excellence with us!
